Hello LET,

My name is Haris, from PieLayer, and I have several offers for LowEndTalk readers.

About us:

PieLayer has been around since 2010, but only opened its doors in 2012. We use modern hardware with an Intel Xeon E3, E5 CPU, 64-128GB of RAM, and SATA / SSDs in RAID 10 for both speed and redundancy. We have services available in various locations, including Germany and the US. Everything in Las Vegas is pure SSD as well as in Dallas, TX.

WORD OF WARNING: THEY DO NOT ALLOW MINECRAFT SERVERS ON THE OPENVZ Option.

The owner seems to have a hard-on for taking money over infractions stated in their ToS. He regularly takes 24+ hours to respond to support tickets, as he is the only one that seemingly looks at them.

I ordered from their site because they advertised as a minecraft host on their SSD Servers. Sadly, their SSD servers were completely filled. So, I went for the budget OpenVZ option. Little did I know, there is some text in the (ToS) that states that they have the right to suspend any OpenVZ servers operating minecraft servers.

I realize this was my mistake not reading the ToS. But, the actions that took place were as follows:

    1. My account was suspended.
    2. Couldn't login into account to see why it was suspended.
    3. Attempted to reset password - Website was poorly designed, and would not allow me to.
    4. Opened a support ticket for help setting a password to login and asking why my account was suspended. (I had assumed my invoice was not paid, although it was)
    5. New Password was sent, but no information on the suspension (I assumed I could login to the CPanel and find out)
    6. Pay invoice for July, (in June) as I think this may be what is preventing my service from being active for whatever reason.
    7. No info on suspension in CPanel. Open a new support ticket asking about it. (tells me since I was operating at 1Gig consistently I broke the ToS (was running a minecraft server).
    8. I understand I messed up, I apologize and ask for a refund for the month of July (The month I paid in advance AFTER the service was suspended - hoping to restore me service)
    9. He refuses stating the breach in ToS. (Even those no services had yet been rendered for the month paid) - as an aside, I did believe he deserved the payment for the month of June.
    10. Here I am.

He's willing to screw you over 7$, that's his own prerogative. His business will hopefully die over his no-slack-given attitude.

@SeanDSF As you stated on your own you were in direct violation of our terms of service and we continued to act as per our policies. I must say that we did not notify you as we tend to do so in these cases ( about violation of our ToS and account closure ) and my apologizes because of that. Simply put it abuse of any kind is not permitted on our network and that is why you were suspended/ account closed. As for the refund you are mentioning, please note that you were not eligible for the same as we only have first 5 days refund policy on first order which was not the case here. Thank you for understanding.
