Need help installing pagecookery in a Debian VPS

edited July 2012 in Help

I'm interested in one of menu in Softaculous, PageCookery, under micro blog.

Now I want to use it to run my 384mb.com with Debian 6 and Maxexcloo Minstall. But the problem is always error connecting to database.

This vps is already running a Wordpress blog, and having no problem.

Did anyone ever try to install PageCookery in a VPS?

Probably is a classic 127.0.0.1 <=> localhost issue?

I guess you can connect with the CLI mysql and you can connect with a php test file to a DB.

  • Thank you. I will try it :)

  • Ah... The problem is solved. No need to change the database host from localhost to 127.0.0.1, just leave it to localhost.

We need to install/configure/download the CodeIgniter first.

    Thanked by 1yomero
