Wanted: Cheap yearly paid UK vps
Hi all
I am aiming to replace my UK Linode server a dedicated box from Online.net, but I'd still like to be able to VPN into the UK on occasion.
As the low end market is still rather new to me (I've only be really hanging out here in the last couple of weeks, despite creating an account months ago) and I'm unsure who would be best to go with.
Specs which I don't imagine needing more than
OpenVZ/XEN/KVM (I don't mind)
256mb Ram
3-5GB HD
(ideally) TUN support
500GB-1TB Bandwidth (for instance for Streaming chunks of the Olympics/Winter Olympics)
If possible I'd like to not pay more than $5-$20 a year
The OVH VPS 2014 Classic 1 looks perfect for my needs but its only in France and the US.
I'd be grateful for any suggestions/advice/ideas

never used them so do research first
minivps.co.uk - not sure what they have in your price range but speak to Martin, I am sure he can sort you out with something.
Direvps - https://clients.openitc.co.uk/order/page3.php?product=516 (a lot more than the bandwidth you are asking for)
Research before you decide...
EDITED..
Also try opening a ticket with @drserver he might make you a deal
I've been using them for over 2 years and they've been very reliable. Recommended.
I use the OpenITC plan ez2uk posted above for a VPN and it's perfect.
I've got an OpenVZ VPS with WeLoveServers in London. It's $19 per year and comes with 1GB RAM, 1.25GB VSwap, 30 GB disk space, 1TB bandwidth, 1 IPv4 and 1 IPv6. I have no further use for it and it's paid for until 30. 11. 2014. You can take it off my hands for free if you haven't settled anywhere else yet.

The 256MB plan is USA only and the 2GB plan is out of the OPs budget.
Thanks for your comments everyone. @Chronic thank you, that's very generous of you.
The Direvps/OpenITC option is somewhat compelling. Though I'll try contacting @drserver first and have a further google about the others.
Also thank you for the offer of help @rmlhhd

Well it seems @drserver is a bust at the moment. No UK stock.
