ie realize fully searchable, words, attachments etc.
is it possible to customize the appearance like themes, footer links, add and delete collumns and change the installation process?

Never do something that is already done. Either create something completely new; or take an existing idea and revolutionize it. Facebook is great as it is, only copy it if you improve it so much that makes people say WOW to your new ideas.
