How did you install it?
waiting for people to come in and say
"i got 99 problem son, and dropbox crashing ain't one of them"
edit: it was a joke. Please refer to this

was that a joke?
it was. sorry. Should had emphasized it was a joke.
@Adam from their website. I chose the 32bit Ubuntu .deb It installs, but it 'installs the installer for the daemon' and it has to then download the daemon and this is where it fails @ 99%
@Corey - Here's how I installed it: http://www.jamesmuirhead.com/?p=536
Why not just follow the installer directions? They have a linux installer I've used it for years.
Hey, I've had a similar (or maybe even the same?) problem trying to install dropbox on Ubuntu 12.04.
no matter what method I tried to use, the installation got stuck at 99%:

The solution in my case was to manually install it:
32bit:
cd ~ && wget -O - "https://www.dropbox.com/download?plat=lnx.x86" | tar xzf -
64bit:
cd ~ && wget -O - "https://www.dropbox.com/download?plat=lnx.x86_64" | tar xzf -
and then:
~/.dropbox-dist/dropboxd
As described in:
good luck.

For some reason the site doesn't show... the address was:

Thanks @gilaadb I didn't think of that, that worked perfectly.
Glad I could help
