Just got the unmanaged one, now I have two VPS's with them, the other one is the free-for-life one they've offered earlier.
The cpu allocation for both is a low value of 5%, may get slow when compiling but acceptable, disk I/O is not super fast but still acceptable. Their live chat is pretty good and useful. So far so good and I'll wait to see if they can continue to do well in the future.
Their support is fantastic, server uptime is great as well.
I have one of the xen onapp VPS with these guys and it has been great. I went in dubious of their $0 offer, but this thing is a power horse.
Despite the low looking CPU allowance, it has powered through the openssl speed test.

The tech and support are great!
I am still in the early stages of testing this VPS but so far IO is leaving a lot to be desired (33 iops)
But still testing + will open a ticket and then update this post as I really don't want to jump the gun.
They had a different deal a few days ago when I signed up. it was $3.00 per month (same package)

I did look over your ticket and I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. However the agent did give you a proper explanation, this is a new limited time offer eligible only for new subscriptions. Any previous subscriptions will not be eligible for a discount or a partial refund.
One of our technicians did respond to your inquiry in regards to slow I/O speeds however it was closed since you requested to cancel your account. Shortly after a full refund was issued.

One of our Hypervisors failed and automatic fail over feature was initiated. Every VPS on that specific Hypervisor is automatically transferred to a new one. Typically 10-15 seconds per VPS.
You'd better host your own site to somewhere else, so that we could at least communicate thru ticket system.

All VPSs should be back up and running. If you do encounter any issues please contact our support team for further assistance.
In a traditional VPS setup this would have caused down time until the issue was resolved. However, having multiple Hypervisors allows the system to transfer over all VPS's to a new Hypervisors therefore minimizing downtime.
It's down again, well, give up now..

I sincerely apologize, an error caused one hypervisor to go offline which initiates automatic fail over to transfer all VPSs to another hypervisor. Servers are up at the moment.
We are actively working with OnApp to prevent this issue from occurring again.
