If it's an older low end one, Tiny Core Linux (http://tinycore.org) or Puppy Linux, maybe Antix (http://antix.mepis.org) and otherwise Debian XFCE, SolusOS, Linux Mint, Scientific Linux maybe...

Tiny core is Awesome!! but I think you put the wrong link it's wiki.tinycorelinux.net you can download from: http://distro.ibiblio.org/tinycorelinux/downloads.html I installed this on a thin client and I like how it runs completely on ram and is modular..

Wonder if you can get this as a OVZ/KVM template?

I have very little complaints with Ubuntu 12.04. It works and it works.

Use a debian distro. There is more help in the debian community for people just coming over to linux and lots of things 'just work' in debian but not in other distros.

debian and derivatives are the best

    No worries..

Actually if anyone is interested in trying out Tiny Core.. I requested an image for KVM from iperweb / prometeus and Salvatore was kind enough to oblige.. It was uploaded in like an hour!! gotta love this company, just too awesome..

The image is only on KVM so you need to sign up for a KVM plan not OVZ.. also there seems to be an issue with the cursor being offset in vnc seems like centos has this issue as well, not sure if it's fixable..

Here is a link to their website:
