Hello,
Does anyone have a VPS with http://www.38cloud.com ?

Any reviews out there ?

Thanks !

  • Yes.

Network not very usable (their old one was better, now they are bad) - VPS in general ok - Storage speed very low (SAN on 1Gbit), Installation complicated (disk image copy with a fixed (!) root password after installation)

Hmm.. I ordered one but no VPS comes up in the VPS control panel.. damn :/ Sent them an email, hopefully they come up clean.

@William do you know any other XEN / KVM hosts in Asia region ? I know of Edis, Linode and this 38cloud.

AWS EC2 (Singapore, Japan) has great prices in Asia. (Be sure to checkout spot instances)
And also, vr.org (Hongkong, but with no stock).

38cloud's speed isn't great, considering I am located in Hongkong.

Yes, owned by sunnyvision - not that bad, BW sometimes overcorwded though.

    "Inland"?

He means SG and JP are islands of sorts, tho HK can also be an island, depending on place.
Perhaps India, Vietnam, Thailand would be inland. I don't dare to suggest China :P
