Customized. Comod/Atomic doesn't have wp-login/wp-comment brute force/spam protection.
Finally learned to build my own, haven't gone back. When you don't fully understand the rules in place you just get a bunch of problems you don't understand. When you do understand the rules in place then you know enough to make your own and you're in a better situation.
Attack patterns are often very predictable at least the most common effective ones.
