    I've had 3mbit 3G when I lived in tyler tx... I dare not post my speedtest results from my tether.. I think it's like .05Mb/s :( ..... and this other internet I have is crap too.

  • @gsrdgrdghd said: Aren't LEOs only for satellite phones(+their increidble expensive dial-up internet)? I can imagine it would be kinda annoying to always have to re-direction the satellite dish :P

    Yes, they work with a multi dish also however (changes sat when needed, uses 2 or 3 dishes and send/recieve units to make this fast and without any disruption)

    @Daniel It also depends on the area, when I'm in Central London with a million mobile masts around me left, right and center I get awesome speeds. Just round here the nearest mast isn't that near.

    I live in the middle of no where, but Three are very good with 3G coverage here, and you can't say no to AYCE data!!

    They've started to disable Orange 2G roaming however.

  • It is, that is why it is heavily oversold out of the country :)

    @Aldryic

    What part Texas do you live in?

  • @Insidiea said: What part Texas do you live in?

    I don't. I'm on the other side of the Sabine; Houston was just the closest mirror for that test.

    But iperf measures much better and accurate, shame that most speed-test websites don't do that since it really, really eat up a lot of bandwidth.

  • @Jack said: @Boltersdriveer I thought Singapore bandwidth was really expensive?

    DC transit bandwidth is, residential is peanuts. 100mbps FTTH for 30 USD?

  • I loved it when I had FIOS in the Dallas area before Blizzard moved the server cluster there to Chicago, before the move my latency was 2ms. I was a god in PVP when I got bored and did bg's.
