1GB KVM DDOS Protection

Hey Guy and Girls

I'm looking for a 1GB KVM with DDOS protection in the US

CPU at least 2GHZ (i need to utilize the whole core)
RAM 1GB
Disk 10-20 GB SSD or HDD (SSD preferred but not necessary)
300+ Bandwidth

Pretty much it's for a small game that will probably use 100% CPU for hours on end.

DDOS protection 10GB/s at least.

Budget 70$ a year..

Thanks!

IIRC they don't offer DDoS protection.

Maybe MyCustomHosting would be your best bet.

I don't think MCH would let him use 100% of a core though.

True, could always just use a GRE tunnel to get DDoS protection, not sure what locations abusive cores is in so it might not be the best solution.

Thank you for mentioning us @David_P

@matthewvz is right. Unfortunately we don't offer DDOS protection and we don't allow game servers or any other DDOS attractive service (TS, IRC, Pub VPN ) to be run on our AbusiveCores cluster. We would like to keep AbusiveCores Enterprise grade service.

Well thanks for all the suggestions, keep 'em coming please!

  • We're able to offer this, [ OVH's DDoS protection in BHS1. ] You can happily use 100% of your cores 24/7, it's the disk I/O that we would like you to be conscious of. There's only so much that 48 HDDs can do in RAID10.

Yea but not every host is filled with people who just doesn't care if it affects other users on the node.

I/O should hopefully be minimal. where is BHS1 located?

I believe Beauharnois, Quebec, Canada? Maybe i'm just mistaken.

OVH Canada, Rue de l'Industrie, Beauharnois, QC, Canada

It's literally 30 minutes from New York.

  • I just realized your budget, our price works out to $48.48 per year :).

What server is that with OVH?

I can offer you Nex 1 for 60$ / Year

I've got four of the FS48T storage nodes set up as iSCSI. 12 drivers each in RAID10, 48 drives in total across 4 storage pools. OpenNebula's deployment scheduler is set to pack them as per least VMs per node [ striped deployment ] .

Not 48 drives in a single server [ correction if that was implied. * ] OVH doesn't do anything custom [ I can't fault them, their fully automated business model must be great considering the prices they can offer. ]
