  • What hypervisor or container do you use?

We use vpsgrid, which is an openvz based cloud system. All of these packages are vswap based but we can also offer burstable RAM if you wish.

  • so what is dedicated ram if there is any.

For which package? The LEB/LET exclusive is 896MB Dedicated RAM, 2GB Total Memory (RAM+Swap).

  • thanks.

    Ignore!

  • "Memory Intensive

    Processor Intensive

    Bandwidth Intensive"

Good plans structure. But why do you have such a low resources on these 'intensive' plans? At least if it's memory intensive - why not offer much more memory? If it's Processor intensive why not to offer much more Processor resources?

    Memory Intensive Level 1

    1.6GB Dedicated RAM

    3.2GB Total Memory

    Processor Intensive Level 1

    1.0GB Dedicated RAM

    2.5GB Total Memory

0.6 GB and 0.7 GB differense in these two plans. It makes them VERY similar.
I, personally, would love some Processor intensive plans, but your plans is not OK.

    Your Processor Intensive Level 1

    7.2GHz Turbo CPU

    1.6GHz Guaranteed

    1.0GB Dedicated RAM

    2.5GB Total Memory

    60GB Turbo Storage

    2TB Monthly Transfer

How i want it to looks like [maybe someone else wants too, but this - is just my opinion]:

    16GHz Turbo CPU

    4GHz Guaranteed

    0.5GB Dedicated RAM

    5.0GB Total Memory

    10GB Turbo Storage

5TB Monthly Transfer after reaching this - bandwidth limit to 10 mbps or 10$ per TB

Changes: More CPU resources, less guaranteed RAM, more non-guaranteed RAM, less storage, more traffic. When you use many CPU resources, you mostly don't need any storage or less need it, however you may need more RAM sometimes (so more shared RAM is a good idea) and you may also need more traffic.

Thanks for your comments. We do offer custom plans as well, but it mostly comes down to balancing resources across multiple systems. The differences in memory and CPU grow as you go up in levels. The extra 600MB of RAM or 600MHz/2400MHz of CPU would make a pretty big difference in a small server.

4GHz guaranteed for $10/month might be viable for a promotion but not a standard plan. That would be less than $40/month for a quad-core processor. Any company that offers something like that isn't truly guaranteeing it. If we did offer low memory, low storage on the plan, that wouldn't really correct any problems. Disk space isn't expensive and is easily scalable, people still expect RAID with caching, therefore we would still need a similar storage configuration. Lastly, memory customers still require CPU resources, just not as much, just like most CPU intensive customers still require memory. Offering 4GB of RAM with only 0.5GHz guaranteed CPU wouldn't be useful for many.
