Is there a ready to use Backup mangement software?

Hello,

I would like to offer my customers some backupspace with SCP, RSYNC, FTP access. I would like to automate it as completely as possible. Is there a linux solution for this ?

    Why not just setup user accounts on a Backupsy VPS and let them connect in?

    You could write a bash script to run for new users, this would cover the automation.

    or... were you looking for something pre-built with GUI etc.

    pre-built with web interface would be great.

    If you are willing to pay for it, check ahsay.com

    It's a pay for each client type of deal.

    Setup webmin or virtualmin and give each user his own access via FTP/SSH

  • Probably not exactly what you seek, but worth looking at:

    @nobody123

    What is it you provide your customers that they would backup?

    Thats not relevant.

    I thought there might be a ready to go solution as ftp/rsync/scp is what most backup providers are offering.

    There are quite a few but each suits different platforms. if you can't even answer the question as to what type of services you provide to know what solution would work then as the saying goes...

    Go forth and help yourself!
