hello,
Can't really figure out which way should i take . I do have little idea about running servers but not as geek. i can do some advance part of tweaking also but i really don't think i can manage dedicated server, since i don't have experience with Dedi's. And i came to this point.

What are you going to use it for?
APP storage server + Wordpress + json data storage.
You could get something cheaper to start with, like QuickPacket or VaporNode. Otherwise, SingleHop does have pretty reliable network, with good upstream mix. Not sure about future hosting, never heard of them.
Edit: server management, if you need it, would be better quality and cheaper to get externally.
Seconding this - look at the providers that advertise around here like QuickPacket or Delimiter, that's where you'll probably get the maximum bang for your buck, though I don't think any of them provide management.
Barring that, strictly between those two, SingleHop.
we have had our fair share of issues with singlehop also, ( random node power cycles with no notice, API issues etc, extremely slow control panel, etc ) Which is the primary reason we are pulling out of Singlehop Chicago.
Delimiter - I have 100% uptime
SingleHop is good, but not as good as it should be for the price. By all means avoid Hivelocity too, they think themself premium but their network and support is crap.
I would recommend CaliHop very good service. I am leaving them next month but because I am now running all servers in house (well, in office), but I would not hesitate to use CaliHop's service again. And it is modern hardware for good pricing. Managed services are optionally available too.
I have achieved well over a year of uptime on CaliHop dedicated servers.
Suggest me the external server management !
I would like to look at the price.
Singlehop is a reliable company who hosts much of their Chicago gear out of the same facility as us -- Dupont Fabros. They run a good operation.
Unlike ColoCrossing.
Trolling again?
sighs
Where's ShoveHost?
@qps or @MarkTurner might be able to offer you something you're looking for.
You can get a much better price from SH than that.
Way too expensive Hosting ._.
Tried http://www.soyoustart.com ? (Since you looking for dedi, not VPS).
I would never pay $100+ a montb for any server--ever for personal/single usage.
(Just make SSH long, hard and maybe root disabled, and don't download/install WP mods that will compromise your box, I see it too many times and it annoys me since hackers use it for mining or ddosing).
But there's bunch of Dedi servers out there, DONT PAY $100 FOR NO dedi-servers, this isn't 2001, unless u going for a managed server then maybe the price NEAR $100 Is okay. Never pay more unless you're going to host for other people as well.....
Then use some money you saved to get a VPS, it's good to have a VPS handy for testing or smaller projects (sometimes even for silly stuff or backups)
Didn't shovenose banned recently?
Yeh, it only a temp ban for being a bellend.
With that requirement I would rather looking at $40 price range on a mid-end VPS provider, or, maybe soyoustart and kimsufi.
and if that doesn't change?
SingleHop is Best!
I have 4 Dedicated server from them since 1 year.
Permanent I imagine, but I expect @shovey will clean up his act.
We have deals on our Dual Xeon L5420 and Dual Xeon L5520 starting at $49 per month. Our servers are unmanaged. cPanel adds $29.99 per month.
You could then get server management from someone like Platinum Server Management for $29 per month.
I know I showed up on this one late, but I have worked with Future Hosting and they are outstanding. They are reliable and have a knowledgeable and responsive support staff. Don't know much about SingleHop, but haven't heard anything bad about them.
