GRE Tunnel - Not Reachable

GunterGunter Member
edited May 2014 in Help

I've been following the BuyVM guide on how to setup a GRE Tunnel for my Ramnode VPS and my dedicated server.

But for some reason, when I ping either address:

ping 192.168.168.1
PING 192.168.168.1 (192.168.0.1) 56(84) bytes of data.
From 199.x.x.x icmp_seq=1 Destination Host Unreachable

Anyone have a solution? I've rebooted and run the commands each end a dozen times at this point.

    Filtered IP (Ramnode)

gre1: <POINTOPOINT,NOARP,UP,LOWER_UP> mtu 1476 qdisc noqueue state UNKNOWN mode DEFAULT
    link/gre "Filtered_IP" peer "Destination_IP"

    Destination:

gre1: <POINTOPOINT,NOARP,UP,LOWER_UP> mtu 1476 qdisc noqueue state UNKNOWN mode DEFAULT
    link/gre "Destination_IP" peer "Filtered_IP"

It appears I found the root cause. After I ticketed Ramnode to allow for GRE Functionality, it must've been lost somehow.
