Help with email

Shoaib_AShoaib_A Member

I got my kimsufi server delivered a few days ago.Today I installed cPanel & for testing sent 1 email to my yahoo, gmail & hotmail accounts.Yahoo & gmail worked well but with hotmail I got following error:

ost mx3.hotmail.com [207.46.8.199]: 550 SC-001 (BAY0-MC6-F26) Unfortunately, messages from 46.105.241.xxx weren't sent. Please contact your Internet service provider since part of their network is on our block list. You can also refer your provider to http://mail.live.com/mail/troubleshooting.aspx#errors.

I checked for various blacklists but IP is not listed anywhere

Since this is kimsufi I don't expect much help from OVH. I tried to contact MS but they want the ISP(in this case OVH) to contact them.Is there anyway to resolve this issue on my own?.

Microsoft uses their own blacklists for their email service.

Having a look at this article might help you a little bit, however I've never needed to deal with email blacklists so I can't vouch for this method being successful.

So there is no other way? Changing my MX records or something?

  • have you set up a reverse DNS on IP?. I had a similar problem with another email hosting company and the reverse DNS fixed it.

Error 550 SC-001 specifically relates to blocked IPs

Just fill in this form, tell them the IP came with a VPS/server you rented from a DC and you would like it unblocked.

Took less than a few hours for them to unblock one for me.

The network 46.105.241.0/24 is listed in a blacklist.

    http://mxtoolbox.com/SuperTool.aspx?action=blacklist:46.105.241.1&run=toolpage

For further details, you can enter your IP in the lookup link below (or) use 46.105.241.0/24 to get the blacklist status of the entire network.

    Hope this helps.
