  • Make a dispute at paypal.

  • yeah dude i am ready to do the same. i paid a year in advance. and canceled after 15 days.

  • @Bugis - when did you cancel the service? If you read Delimiter's TOS you'll see that they don't make prorata refunds

    @JackOLantern - if you paid for a year in advance then cancelled, you'll lose the amount of time you used so one month and they'll refund you the balance.

    The IO may be variable since it's a NAS volume. Even though I think this should have been made clear on the order page, there's no need to submit a dispute without first asking for a refund.

    Have you placed a ticket? I've only placed one so far regarding server setup and they've been responsive.

    The more interesting question is why the payment to a UK based company goes to a USA based paypal account (Delimiter Corporation (The recipient of this payment is Verified) Email: [email protected])

  • bugisbugis Member

    @MarkTurner

    I canceled the same day

  • @Publio - I have never seen performance that low on the Atoms. I would be interested too to see what the outcome of his original complaint was

  • @rds100 - Probably because its a US transaction for a server based in the US

  • @Bugis - What was the ticket # where you complained about poor performance?

  • bugisbugis Member

    why did they delete my account in the client area, making it very difficult to contact them

    Make a new account and open a ticket maybe?

    said: asked for a refund through paypal.

    this is the problem.

  • @Bugis - if you are the person with the above invoice # then you didn't open any ticket other than a request for Reverse DNS which was denied as the forward DNS didn't resolve. The domain happens to be for a software (warez?) download site.

    You have never made a complaint about performance and 18.1MB/s is clearly defective, as you have seen all the other benchmarks on here for the same system are all 60-80MB/s.

    @MarkTurner

    This is a freeware

    distinguish warez and freeware

    @Microlinux - one has to hope

    @Bugis - I am not Delimiter's representative - as I told you contact Delimiter, you could try emailing [email protected]. There is nothing really to add to this, you need to ask the question as to whether they will refund you. I don't see that you have any grounds for a refund but again I am not their representative, so you must ask that question to them. There is no point PM'ing me with your Paypal receipt and saying Refund me.

    already 2 times I sent an email to [email protected] no replies

    @MarkTurner

    Step 1 - Calm down.
    Step 2 - Repeat step 1 again.
    Step 3 - Wait for a reply.

    Thank you for your suggestion

    I will patiently wait for an email reply from them

    if you dont get a refund from them, perform a chargeback via your cc. they will win the paypal dispute. infact most hosts will providing they word it correctly. although they will probably lie.

  • @bugis - I've already helped you, I told you what to do when you expected Delimiter's billing dept to respond to your issue at 3AM in the morning and appeared to be indignant about it. Thats as far as I can go, I don't see that you have handled this situation properly. I don't mind championing for customers who I feel are being mistreated or can't get something to happen and its frustrating them.

    You on the other hand ordered a service, never told anyone there was a problem then expect a refund about 2 hours later and when you don't get it you start spamming me on here and then creating forum postings.

    Firstly I would have opened a support ticket and say that your disk performance appeared to be low. You proved you knew how to do that as you opened a ticket about RDNS and then reopened it a few hours after it was closed to request a different RDNS entry.

    Secondly, I would wait for a response from support about the disk performance ticket (you didn't open).

    Thirdly if it was not remedied within a few hours, I would ask them to cancel and refund your service as it was not merchantable.

    The tactic you have employed is simply wrong. The server that you had asset # US393883, I pulled and ran a simple DD test:

    [root@US393883 ~]# dd if=/dev/zero of=iotest bs=64k count=16k conv=fdatasync
    16384+0 records in
    16384+0 records out
    1073741824 bytes (1.1 GB) copied, 16.98 s, 63.2 MB/s

    Until now, no refunds

    Delimitervps very rigid services

    Email [email protected] none reply

    @bugis : I've been in the same situation. It took a week but I got the refund. You didn't even bother contacting support regarding an supposed low IO. You might wanna wait for a few days for the refund. Also billing departments are closed on weekend.

    @srvrpro

    thank you for your information

    I will wait until Monday or Tuesday

    Indonesian time, is different with most of provider in here :)

    And also, for future order, an Atom usually comes with less disk io performance.

  • agoldenbergagoldenberg Member, Host Rep

    Yeah something is wrong with his. Here's the IO on mine

    [root@atom ~]# dd if=/dev/zero of=iotest bs=64k count=16k conv=fdatasync
    16384+0 records in
    16384+0 records out
    1073741824 bytes (1.1 GB) copied, 15.352 s, 69.9 MB/s
