PTR Doubt

Guys,
I need to know how PTR set. If i own a dedicated server, will i be able to set the PTR?

    Whats the monthly traffic to the site like?

  • Depends on the hosting, sometimes you'll have a panel(OVH,Hetzner) to set your PTR records.

    Mostly you'll have to do it trough a support ticket with most hosts.

  • It depends on who owns the IPs and whether the responsibility has been delegated down to you. Often it's a case of contacting your host...

  • Create a DNS A Record that points to the server IP, afterwards you request the rDNS/PTR of that server IP to be changed to the new DNS entry that you just created.

  • ovh will delegate them to you, but they are already blacklisted everywhere so dont bother trying
