VDS in Moldova with 500 Gbps DDoS protection

I have received this email from HostEasy and thought that it would be good to share it here.

Dear Customer,

since 2009, we at trabia network are building our very own data center within the Republic of Moldova.

Working in the hosting branch since 2001 already, originated and incorporated 2003 in Germany, 2005 in Moldova and 2013 in Hong Kong; consulting multiple hosting companies and data centers ever since that and keeping faithful to our own quality standards, we was able use our expertise for building the currently largest and onliest fully independent data center at a location where hosting was, and still is, a new market.

In the past years we improved our services for our clients. These are just a few of the improvements we successfully deployed:

  • Constantly improving our network backbone
  • Migrating to a Juniper-only based routed and switched network
  • Gigabit Dedicated Server within the standard product line
  • DDoS protection for everyone included with no extra cost
  • ...and many more

Our current network backbone capacity is 40 Gbps which is planned to be extended to 80 Gbps during 2014/2015. With our autonomous system AS43289 we utilize 5 independent upstreams, public/private peerings and are present on exchanges. During our 2014/2015 planned network upgrades we also open new point of presences in Bucharest, Romania and Frankfurt am Main, Germany, building a fully MPLS based network for reaching the highest possible level of independence and service quality. Our PoP in Bucharest is already today up, operable and in use. We house clients from all over the world, while only about ~3% of our client base is actually from Moldova and the largest part being from Europe and Asia. We leave the local Moldovan market mainly to our Moldovan resellers and act more internationally oriented.

New Virtual Server Plans

Starting from May 1st, we will deliver our new virtual dedicated server plans. We have put this new plans online the day before yesterday and received already a large amount of pre-orders.

With this new plans, you can get a VDS with 512 MB RAM, 10 GB SSD Storage, 100 Mbps connectivity and 500 Gbps DDoS protection for only 6 EUR per month. Larger VDS are available of course. Check out https://www.hosteasy.eu/virtual-server.html and pre-order today!

All clients that currently have old VPS plans are very welcome to upgrade. If you prepaid your current VPS for a longer period, we will assist you by doing a re-calculation if you are interested in upgrading earlier!

The summer is knocking at the doors already, here in Moldova its getting warmer day by day. The trabia network team wishes all of you a great summer season!

Don't hesitate to contact us any time if you have any questions, suggestions or feedback. We love your input!

Cheers,
Sven Wiese

Your $1 over the forum budget.

Also all the images on your site appear to be broken

I'm in no way affiliated with them and just shared info here.

I have a hard time believing that for a few bucks you get 500Gbps ddos protection.

Why not ask the provider if you can test the protection out?

To be fair, a criticism you can throw at a number of hosts around here, including some of the good ones.

    Sven is German.

The '500Gbps' is provided by routing all traffic through Voxility but having Moldavian IPs and colo there (transport).
