  • InfinityInfinity Member, Host Rep

    Somebody posted up something similar to bootstrap before.. but after searching I can't find anything :/.. someone care to share if you can recall what it was?

    Had everything in place, just needed to follow their framework..

    Something tells me the website address had level9 or level6 in the name? Something like that? D:

    I keep meaning to learn Drupal...but I have never had a compelling reason yet.

    It seems more toolkity than Joomla.

  • I use Wordpress, e107 and SMF (SMF With Simpleportal)

    I actually really like Vanilla Forums by a lot over the old bb forums.

    +1. That's what our new website is, I just created a PHP backend for it from scratch to make life easier.

  • <?php $title="title here";include('header.php');?>
    Content here
    <?php include=('footer.php');?>

    I want to headbang that so much

    I use this

    <?php
    class controller
    {
        public function loadNode($page)
        {
            if(empty($page)) { $page = "home";}
            if (!file_exists("nodes/node.$page.php")) { $page = "404";}

            include "nodes/node.$page.php";
            $this->node = new node;
        }

        public function nodeName()
        {
            return $this->node->PAGE_NAME;
        }

    }

    ?>

    I'm using wordpress, and sometimes drupal. But for my personal usage, I'm using php + html

    I want to head bang so much @Daniel. While I don't agree with dmmc's code, if you have a simple website, it's easier to just do includes.

    Really? Very nice. I'd assumed you'd hired a designer.

    (I mean, don't get a big head, keep your day job, etc. but it is superior to most of the templates I see people use).

    It's just a free template I found online that I liked. I just made some image and color edits, then integrated it into the backend. I'm tired of spending money on designs that other people are just going to rip anyways. :)

    While I agree using simple includes is easier, you would get to the point where you simply can't do complex stuff without going dirty code.

    I made a site once that used simple includes, and it was a nightmare once you started to get into 20 odd pages.

    Just converted my website to the kickstart HTML. Works like a breeze with my custom made CMS: http://raymii.org/cms

    Old theme: http://raymii.org/cms-oldtheme
