Anyone using LSI/Supermicro controllers (e.g 2208)

We've noticed a recent issue which appears to be a regression of the following bug:

http://bugs.centos.org/view.php?id=5383

It's been killing a node for us over the last 72 hours. We've now reverted to an earlier kernel version; however it appears to affect:

2.6.32-431.5.1.el6.x86_64
2.6.32-431.3.1.el6.x86_64

Is anyone else running one of these onboard cards and experiencing the same?

  • We've had issues with power management and the driver / LSI bios combinations. Had a lock up once, but that was pre-deployment. We usually do burn-in tests to make sure.
