X3440 Not Hyperthreading?
In my one server I have a X3440 with 32GB of ram. And today I was just looking around on went into htop and saw that there are only 4 cores. I thought this was weird so I typed in cat /proc/cpuinfo and it said that there were only 4 cores. The X3440 shows up as 8 and it use too. Any ideas what may have caused it to stop?

You checked the BIOS?
HT is likely not enabled.
Reboot and had a dead bios battery could reset things. Though usually HT is enabled by default if the BIOS recognizes the CPU.
Hmm BIOS says it is enabled. Let me post startup logs.

Could it be the ACPI which has been switched off?
