Dedicated server vs Cloud
We want to offer VPS+OurSoftware as SaaS to our clients. regarding that I want to know.
What advantages each of them have ? VPS (on dedicated) VS VPS (from Cloud provider)
and what will be better regarding SaaS, our concern is following
- cost
- easy maintenance
- auto provisioning ( like WHMCS integration )
any thoughts ?
Thanks in advance

Okay.
And what is "OurSoftware" ?
@serverian @rds100 @Zen @Jack, sorry! mistakenly submitted it uncompleted, please check it again.
Sounds like one of those college lab challenges, lol.

I would go with cloud:
1. Easy to scale;
2. Someone else cares for the infrastructure;
3. A real cloud will provide HA and redundancy (most setups marketed as "cloud" are not, though);
4. No problems with Hardware failure;
5. Easy to migrate to other locations or expand;
6. API support;
7. Better hardware and optimization (IO, network, higher quality built servers), etc.
Just to name a few. It should also be cheaper for start.
Thanks @Maounique, can you suggest some provider which support whmcs ? or other billing system ?
Yes, exactly! I want to compare
Since you will offer SaaS, it does not matter much, your own whmcs should be able to handle it, but you need to write a module to handle the api for billing and provisioning.
Cloud, undoubtedly.
