10 Gbps port now available on CubePath VPS
Hi all,
You can now run a CubePath VPS on a 10 Gbps public port instead of the standard 1 Gbps. It's an add-on you tick when you deploy.
Price: $20/month, billed by the hour like the VPS itself ($0.0274/h), with no setup fee.
Available in: Barcelona, Houston and Miami, on any VPS plan in a project billed by the hour.
How to get it:
- New VPS: when you deploy, open Advanced Settings and tick "10 Gbps port" under Addons.
The fine print:
- Your plan's traffic allowance doesn't change. Traffic beyond it is billed at $2 per TB, as on any of our VPS, and the port stays at 10 Gbps. At full speed, a 10 TB plan uses its allowance in under three hours.

This is the kind of stuff a human review of AI authored text would catch.
To be fair this is likely a meatbag forgetting to divide by 8 rather than AI-written text.
Good catch. I didn't even do the math on that. I just meant that the quoted bit smells like the kind of hedging LLMs like to put in text. It's rather poor marketing to say that your fancy new bandwidth pipe will deplete your monthly allowance in a matter of hours.
But if there math is off by a factor of eight, that points more to a meatbag error. Or simply an error by the AI that wrote the post. The linked post is full of LLMisms.
What's the mistake? 10 gigabits per second * 3 hours = 13.5 terabytes.
Maybe the 10 Gbps port is actually a 10 GBps port.
