We are receiving reports of hot wallets on BTCPay Servers being swept by unauthorized attackers.

If you're running an instance, please shut it down (./btcpay-down.sh) until we complete the investigation.

    I was about to do my monthly withdrawal. Found out that someone already did that for me.

    FML.

    Lesson learned. Time to get smarter about crypto.

    We had over $10K in our hot wallets on BTCPayServer, we transferred it out at ~8:06PM EST and did not get swept. I'm not really sure what protected us there, it could just be that we were behind a WAF/Cloudflare or maybe using an older version of BTCPayServer or something like that. Cryptocurrency has had a rough time lately.
