Do hosts really check for genuine Windows licences?

For companies that offer Windows hosting, do they really check for genuine licence installed by their customers? I've always find them writing BYOL and bar them from using iso but some custom script to install Windows Server. Is it true that it's nothing but a wink-wink sort of agreement?

No, but some have restricted Tos for installing window in their linux lineup, like @NDTN i think all their windows must be licensed like doing some business with MS, and second i checked before was hostkey in my experience (they didn't check happen when i asked for support)

so no one bother to check, MS give 180 day and you can renew it like 4 times,

no more windows, just use debian and move on from this ass windows

as long as you pay the LET tag fee and have a business that can register with 300$ then you are okay ๐Ÿคจ
