[WTB] Dedicated server — 384GB DDR4, NVMe + bulk HDD, US, BAA required — up to $450/mo

Budget: up to $450/month.

What it's for: a warm DR/standby node plus an offsite backup target. Low
traffic, modest CPU — this is a spare, not a workhorse.

Required
- Locatation — Central US or Southeastern US
- 384 GB RAM — DDR4 is fine and actually preferred. Dual Xeon Scalable
(Skylake / Cascade Lake) or E5 v4 all welcome. I'm not paying DDR5 prices
for a standby box.

  • 32–40 threads total. AVX-512 required, so Intel Xeon Scalable or EPYC
    Genoa+ — Rome/Milan won't work for us.

  • Two storage tiers in the same chassis:

    • 2x 1.92 TB or larger NVMe/SSD (will be a ZFS mirror)
    • 2x 4TB SSD
    • Drives presented raw — HBA / IT mode / onboard. No hardware RAID card in
the path; we run ZFS and need SMART and direct disk access.
  • IPMI/iDRAC with KVM-over-IP and virtual media. We install Proxmox VE
    ourselves — please don't pre-install an OS.

  • 1 Gbps, unmetered or generous transfer. Initial seed is ~700 GB, then
    incrementals. 10G not needed.

  • You must be willing to sign a BAA (HIPAA). Non-negotiable, and it's the
    first thing I'll ask — please don't reply if that's a no.

  • /29 IPv4

Not needed: managed services, control panel, provider backups, 10G port,
DDR5, high core counts.

Looking to move quickly on this. Thank you.
