DeluxHost – Unusable VPS due to severe disk I/O, refund requested – Order #21899

It has been three days since I requested a refund, and there has still been absolutely no response from DeluxHost.
My refund request was submitted three days ago, and I still have not received any reply whatsoever. This is completely unacceptable.
I am requesting cancellation and a full refund for my VPS service:

  • Order: #21899 (my first order, annual plan)
  • Service: Z-4 VPS
  • Invoice: 1110-12033-2026 (paid on 11 October 2026)

The instance has been unusable since activation due to severe disk I/O problems, which I verified directly on the server:

  • 4K synchronous writes (fio fsync / dd dsync) frequently take 0.5–4 seconds each;
  • the kernel reports "task jbd2/vda1-8 blocked for more than 122 seconds" (hung task);
  • systemd-journald was repeatedly killed by its own watchdog due to I/O timeouts — about ten times in a single night, and again this morning; the journal file was even reported as "corrupted or uncleanly shut down";
  • I/O pressure (PSI "full") shows all processes stalled on I/O roughly two thirds of the time.

This is not a temporary spike — it has persisted since activation.

I have stopped using the server. If you would like to verify the issue first, I can keep it online and provide root access privately — I would only ask that this not delay the refund.

Please confirm the cancellation and the expected refund date.
