    📻 Survivor Log #001

    Year: 2026
    Status: Qualified ✅
    Location: Comments Section

    The announcement came.

    I qualified for the raffle.

Morale was high. Hope was restored.

    Then... silence.

Several hours have passed since the last transmission.

New civilizations have risen and fallen beneath this thread.

Veteran survivors speak of a second update, though no living witness has confirmed its existence.

Supplies are running low. The refresh button is suffering critical damage.

If anyone from the outside world receives this message, please confirm that the next announcement is still scheduled and that humanity has not been abandoned.

    Please don't :)

I hadn't thought of this possibility, but let's hope that no one else thinks of doing this :#

    (Otherwise warnings will be issued)

Why do you want to do this? Did you pay $200?

I'm planning to use this for a lightweight backup server. Quick question about AS4658: how is the routing and latency typically to Southeast Asia (specifically Indonesia)?

I love Hong Kong! I can't resist a Hong Kong VPS for just $1/Year!

Does not qualify according to the rules in the OP:

Ask a question about AS4658, or state your planned use of this perpetual $1/Year VPS in this thread!

I was thinking of that immediately after your first message. I didn't do it. But the evil smile was shining...

That's great, it would be even better if I could buy it. A stable VPS is required to deploy the probe: https://github.com/monitor-probe/monitor

I won't issue you a warning for this, but seriously, please don't tag all of these users for this reason

It's sufficient to tag the winners

If you're using AI for this, then ask AI to remove "@" from each username before you post the results

I understand that you want to be transparent, which is fine, but transparency doesn't mean that you need to tag 300+ users in order to show that you want to be transparent

Thank you and apology! This is our first time on LET, we will improve!

    [AI helped generate this]

Draw time! 🎲 Sorry for the delay, thanks for your patience!

    • 301 entrants = the qualified list above + FAT32 and netomx (mods are members too, thanks @JabJab 🙂)
    • Seed: hash of Bitcoin block 972540, not mined yet as I post this (expected ~7am HKT / ~7pm US Eastern), so nobody, me included, can know it.
    • 25 winners + 5 reserves. Reserves step in, in order, if a winner doesn't claim within 72 hours.

Verify it yourself. The draw script (all 301 names inside) and the plain list are here:
    https://hosting.netfront.net/let-draw/draw.py
    https://hosting.netfront.net/let-draw/entrants.txt

Fingerprints (SHA-256), so you know the files were not changed after this post:

    • draw.py: f51887c4a7071187d1f8f428f1f21442c97b299fa5650ed3c1a6a37a9fd6242a
    • entrants.txt: 0472fcbb8b95f67cca12efd675aca978dbe45bc276c2d49f83ae969862300d38

Download draw.py, check it with sha256sum, then run it with python3. It checks the list, fetches the block 972540 hash from mempool.space (blockstream.info as backup) and prints the winners. To look up the hash yourself: https://mempool.space/block/972540

    Run it (Linux/macOS):
    curl -O https://hosting.netfront.net/let-draw/draw.py
    sha256sum draw.py (macOS: shasum -a 256 draw.py), must match the fingerprint above
    python3 draw.py

Results will be posted here once the block is mined, in around 2 hours from this post. Winners only get tagged!

    Provably fair, wow!
Way ahead of those other providers running black-box giveaways on LET.

Provably fair draws should really be written into the LET community rules.

    📻 Survivor Log #002
    Status: Qualified ✅
    Location: Page 17
    Threat Level: Psychological

    The Overseer has spoken.
    A transmission was received.
The raffle protocol has been explained. The sacred scripts have been revealed. The Bitcoin prophecy has been foretold.
    And yet...
    We remain.
Page after page, the survivors press onward.
    Some study the SHA-256 fingerprints.
Some pretend they understand the draw script.
Some have become experts in blockchain lore despite arriving here for free VPS hosting.
The settlement now spans 17 pages.
Children born on Page 3 have grown into seasoned veterans.
    Morale remains stable.
    Refresh key integrity does not.
    Awaiting Block 972540.
    Awaiting extraction.
    Awaiting destiny.
