AI is basically curb stomping SDE job positions. Technical moat has evaporated. Hiring demand is declining steeply.

Not every traditional Web developers can transition into emerging roles like AI Infra/Foundation Models/AI Agent development, due to a much higher academic/degree barriers.

Indie dev? Building a SaaS startup? It's another "good old days" thing. Even for existing SaaS industry leaders are steadily hiking prices every year, squeezing out every last drop of capital value before their customers decide to just vibe code their own in-house solutions.
