Looking for bare-metal storage near 60 Hudson / NY metro (HDD-dense, JBOD)
Looking for a dedicated / bare-metal storage box as close as possible to 60 Hudson Street, Manhattan (Digital Realty / NYI NY2).
RTT probe (ICMP may be filtered; TCP 443 is fine): 64.34.80.235 (Latitude.sh in that building)
Location preference (in order):
1. Same building: 60 Hudson — ideal
2. NY metro with low RTT to that probe (Manhattan / Secaucus / Staten Island)
3. Other US East only if nothing closer — please skip UT / LA unless that’s all you have
What I’m after:
- HDD-dense: ~12× large drives (16–26TB+ class; more bays / larger disks welcome)
- JBOD or HBA passthrough preferred (not RAID5/6 as primary)
- Dual Xeon / EPYC or similar
- 128GB+ RAM preferred (64GB OK)
- SSD/NVMe for OS / cache
- 1G unmetered is fine; quote 10G as optional if you have it
