Single server colo exit review, Nexeon and Tier.net
First of all, I understand how it could be seen as suspicious to leave a review with a very new account. I will submit invoices, tickets, etc to moderators as proof if needed.
I've been with both hosts for 3-4 years colocating a single server with each one. I exited both at the same time because I want my hardware close to me (non-US) with everything that's going on in the world as well as a change in life/professional priorities.
To save on international shipping, I redirected my server from Tier.net to Nexeon to be shipped together to me.
TN charged me 1/2 hour of remote hands to derack my server (as they should). Jacob and Jourdan handled the last of my issues and answered several back and forth of logistical questions as I'm a noob in that area. I gave them the shipping label I paid for myself, then my server was off to Nex.
At Nex, Sean unracked my server without charging me any fee ($0.00) then processed an incoming shipment from TN and repackaged both servers into 1 box (again, $0.00 in fees). Once again, gave them a shipping label I paid for and then package departed for international shipment.
Several weeks ago, I received both servers in one piece. Whole thing took a month or two after termination notice and all monthly billings have stopped. Been lazy with writing a review since work is piling up and handling chunky metals (for testing) is not for the faint of heart. But here it is: I owe the people mentioned above and I want to thank them for their courtesy and professionalism.
With hosting, we often focus on prices and configs and those are important. But having people who handle our expensive equipments with care and as requested in getting them safely back to our hands is just as important, if not more.
