Just received this from Cloudblast.
They say the problem is a small number of users pushing 100TB+ 24/7. If that’s the case, why change the limits for everyone instead of dealing with those users directly?
If someone is pushing 100TB+ every month, you clearly know who they are. Limit them, move them to another plan, charge them more or terminate them.
Why should normal customers who bought an unlimited-bandwidth VPS suddenly get 5TB or 10TB because of a few abusers?
And why is this being applied with immediate effect rather than from the next billing period?
Looks much more like collective punishment than fair use.
I agree. This is a very bad thing to do. First, lure customers in by writing “unlimited,” and now impose a limit and charge for it. 90% of customers wouldn’t have bought it if they had known there would be a 5TB limit. It’s just nothing.
