This customer was a psycho
he told us they had assigned an employee to damage our reputation across multiple forums and review sites.
We still reviewed their evidence and restored service on September 4. When further abuse complaints arrived, we kept the server running and escalated them to our upstream team, acknowledging that earlier reports appeared to be false positives.
On September 26, we received another complaint, described in our correspondence as coming from German police. We politely ended the relationship and gave the customer 12 hours to back up their data.
We brought the server online for backup. The customer confirmed the backup was complete, their data was erased, and asked us to delete the server, thanking us for our assistance.
We will not risk our network and other customers over one customer’s unresolved abuse issues. Threats and reputation campaigns will not change that.
