Rabisu goes pop, all VMs down

Dear Customers / Stakeholders,

We have detected an unauthorized access (intrusion) attempt within our virtualization infrastructure. To maintain the highest level of system security and to conduct a thorough investigation, we have taken proactive measures.

As part of these measures:

  • All virtual machines (VMs) have been gracefully shut down,

  • Network access has been temporarily disabled.

Our expert teams have the situation under control and are continuing their detailed analysis. We will keep you updated on our progress and provide further information as soon as the root cause is identified and full system security is restored.

Thank you for your understanding and patience during this time.

Email didn't go out to all customers - At least I didn't get one. Thank goodness I'm only on the LET special from them. It's a shame though, the service has actually been pretty good.

Check your spam, mine went in there for some reason.

  • A few days ago I came across Rabisu through a blog post on LET and picked up one of their Turkey plans. Not long after, they suspended the service and asked me to complete KYC, which took a full 2 days to get sorted. Then it turned out the first IP they assigned me was completely unreachable, so they swapped it for a different one. everything ran fine after that

until today ie checking on my other services and noticed this server had gone offline. I tried logging into their client area to see what was going on, but it just keeps redirecting me to their homepage. I only found out they were having issues thanks to LET, and I'm pretty sure I never received any email about it from them — and yes, I checked the spam folder too

I have exactly the same message as OP, but it came from "posta at geneldns.com". I have no idea how this is related to Rabisu or why it came from this domain.

Most likely. I've been having networking issues for about a week. Their gateway was only replying to ARP requests about one in a thousand times. Yesterday, I finally had time to open a ticket about this. They replied asking for my VPS credentials so they could investigate, just a few hours before everything went down lol.
