Looking for Server.net Alternatives for UK Dedicated Servers

buyrdpbuyrdp Member

Hi everyone,

I started using Server.net after seeing some good recommendations here on LowEndTalk. Their support has been good and transparent, so this is not a complaint about their service.

The main issue for me is scaling. I found a few limitations:

  • Existing servers cannot always be upgraded to higher RAM.
  • Existing IPv4s cannot be moved to a new/replacement server.
  • Maximum IPv4 allocation per server is /27.
  • There is no business/reseller exception for these limits.

Server.net explained that these are technical limitations on their side, which I understand. But for my use case, I need more flexibility.

I need the server for my own hosting business, so long-term scalability and IP flexibility are important for me.

I’m looking for a reliable UK dedicated server provider with something around:

  • AMD EPYC CPU
  • 128 GB RAM
  • 1 TB NVMe
  • 1 Gbps or 10 Gbps port
  • Good IPv4 availability
  • /27, /26 or larger allocation if justified
  • Ability to move/reroute IP subnets between servers
  • Good network and support

Budget: around $150/month for this configuration.

If anyone is using Server.net or another UK provider with similar requirements, I’d appreciate your feedback.

Any recommendations?
