Message from our CEO:
Valued Client,
We are writing regarding the cooling event that occurred on August 13, 2026, at the RadiusDC PHX01 data center, formerly known as Phoenix NAP, where some 1GServers infrastructure is located.
RadiusDC experienced a cascading series of chiller issues that substantially reduced the facility’s available cooling capacity for several hours. This resulted in elevated temperatures within portions of the data center and degraded the operating environment supporting 1GServers equipment and services.
Throughout the event, the 1GServers team monitored our infrastructure and worked to address issues affecting our clients. RadiusDC personnel and mechanical vendors worked continuously to restore cooling capacity, and the facility has since returned to normal operating conditions.
RadiusDC has advised 1GServers that it identified the initial cause of the event and is conducting a comprehensive technical assessment of the affected systems. We expect to receive a root cause analysis and a detailed event timeline. 1GServers will review those findings carefully and share relevant information with impacted clients as it becomes available.
Although the underlying cooling failure occurred within a third party data center, we recognize that our clients rely on 1GServers to provide timely and accurate information whenever an event may affect their services. Our communication during this incident was not as timely, consistent, or comprehensive as it should have been. We understand that during a serious facility event, uncertainty and a lack of regular updates can be nearly as disruptive and frustrating as the event itself.
1GServers is reviewing our internal incident response and client communication procedures to ensure that significant infrastructure events are escalated and communicated more effectively. We are also working to implement a dedicated public status page that will provide a central location for incident notifications, ongoing updates, and service restoration information. Our goal is to provide dependable information throughout an incident without requiring each client to contact our support team individually for updates.
We recognize the disruption and concern this event caused for affected clients, as well as the frustration created by gaps in communication. 1GServers prides itself on providing reliable infrastructure and responsive, knowledgeable support. In this instance, our communication did not meet the standard that our clients expect or that we expect of ourselves.
We understand that trust is earned through consistent performance, transparency, and accountability. We are committed to learning from this event, making meaningful improvements, and reinforcing the confidence our clients place in us. We hope you will give 1GServers the opportunity to demonstrate that commitment.
Sincerely,
Brandon Wade

I appreciate that Brandon understands the gravity of the comms situation. $30/mo for a status page at betterstack or whatever could have saved a lot of reputation, and probably lowered support ticket load by quite a lot.
Their new DC looks pretty sweet from what I could see on gmaps. Looks like there's spare chilling units out back? Lol. I'll reach out about migration options to the new DC next week, it sounds like a good opportunity. Anything better than PNAP.
The gmaps view is before our upgrades:
