i like how pulsedmedia sell shell accounts. This is how it should be done. Root accounts should not be commoditised for endusers. It is asking for problems. In my dba kingdom giving dba rights to mortals in databases always gave more probs then it helped.

I'm not sure whether that makes a ton of sense, but they're technically not mutually exclusive.
that is severely outdated, open a ticket about that, you deserve credit for noticing. It used to be that only rtorrent gets limited, now everything gets.
All outgoing is counted regardless of protocol as well. I'll have that updated.

Install is one thing, but can you use it to download a week of TV without it shitting the bed? 10 x 10GB active torrents? Actual use cases.
Easily, since rtorrent is incredibly lightweight in operation. As long as the disk isn't too slow (since you won't have much page cache), you could maintain hundreds of active torrents.
With lots of random read and writes? Curious from someone actually running this stable. The general feedback I took from these seedboxes over the years is that they regularly shit the bed.
I got shitloads of RAM, so I run QB.
I have no idea about PulsedMedia's setup (don't they use LXC?), but Alpine and rtorrent can realistically handle that with just 256 MB memory. You might not be able to do fancy firewall rules with conntrack, and you probably won't be able to make full use of a fast network port if you don't have an NVMe, but it should run just fine and remain stable.

I have three simple questions and a remark.
I never used torrent or the like, so I'm a total noob with that. But no problem (I thought) as I had planned to use it as storage only (and maybe, just maybe, sometimes later learn about the torrent stuff).
Unfortunately you pretty much shocked and overwhelmed me (again, I'm a noob with that, and maybe my feedback is helpful to you) by welcoming me on a web page with tons and tons of stuff - but no simple info, at all (plus that Vinäi[whatever] beast seems to be on meth and dumping way too much blabla at us).
