Nobody needs another SSH client. We made one anyway + (20 EUR Cloud Credit GIVEAWAY)

cloudblastcloudblast Member, Patron Provider

It's called CloudTerm. Free, no account, no subscription, no "contact sales" button.

GitHub Repo

(We're CloudBlast, we do VPS hosting. This isn't an offer, we're not selling
anything, we just built a thing and figured this crowd would actually use it.)

Basically it's SSH + SFTP + RDP + VNC + serial + port forwarding in one window,
so you can stop running PuTTY, WinSCP and mstsc side by side like it's 2009.

What's in it:

  • SSH, telnet and serial, tabs and split panes
  • SFTP over the connection you already opened, drag and drop
  • RDP and VNC in a pane
  • Port forwards, local, remote and SOCKS5, with live traffic counters
  • Jump hosts, proxies, 2FA, auto reconnect when your laptop wakes up
  • Encrypted vault for keys and passwords
  • Imports your ~/.ssh/config, or your old PuTTY, KiTTY and MobaXterm sessions + Exports Available

Genuinely useful for organising the 40 idle VPSes you swear you're going to use.

AI Lovers
There's an optional AI panel too. It runs on the Claude Code or Codex login you
already have, so we're not reselling you tokens or hoovering up your sessions.
Hate AI? Ignore it, nothing else breaks.

Free cloud sync, and we actually mean free. Your hosts, folders, keys,
snippets and settings are encrypted on your machine and synced to a CloudBlast
account, so a new laptop is a login instead of an evening of copying things
around. You don't need to be a customer. You don't need a single active server
with us. There's no paid tier of it waiting to upsell you later. It's also
completely optional, the app works offline and won't nag you about it.

This is something we offer as Hosting Provider to promote the use of the terminal.

Small print, because someone will ask:

  • Not code signed yet, so SmartScreen and Gatekeeper will yell at you
  • Licence is fair-code, not OSI open source. Free to use, read and modify, even
at work. Just don't sell it or bake it into something you charge for.

🎁 Giveaway

Two people get €10 of CloudBlast credit. It won't change your life, but
it's a few months of a small box.

To enter:

  • Star the repo, and reply here with anything at all, what you'd want added,
what we got wrong, or just hi

Star on GitHub

Open for 30 days, closing 30 August. Two winners picked at random and
posted in this thread.

Roast it. I'd rather hear it here than not hear it at all.

    Also, consider this

What is a “Transfer Station (中转站)”?
A transfer station (中转站) is what the Chinese developer ecosystem calls an API proxy–an overseas server that sits between a developer and Anthropic’s infrastructure. It accepts API requests, forwards them as if they originated from the transfer station’s location, and passes the response back. The user redirects their software to the proxy’s server instead of Anthropic’s, and pays the API proxy RMB via WeChat or Alipay. This sidesteps both the VPN and the overseas credit card needed for direct access. Prominent transfer stations are catalogued in community repositories and ranked by real-time price and uptime. Below them, a longer tail of small and individual projects comes and goes.

    hi

Honestly, it would be strange not to use AI to code these days. This took two of us a bit over a month of "vibe coding". Without AI, it would have been several months.

As a v1 I think it's pretty solid. The value isn't the code itself, it's that we're giving away things other people charge for, like cloud sync.

It actually started as an internal project. I'm not aware of any other terminal that puts Windows RDP and Linux SSH in one place with AI built in, so at least for me it's quite useful.
