Low-cost VPS with Slovakian (SK) GeoIP for WireGuard

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for a budget-friendly VPS to set up a personal WireGuard VPN. The most critical requirement is the location and routing: the IP must correctly resolve to Slovakia (SK) via GeoIP (MaxMind, IPinfo, etc.), as I need it to access some geo-restricted Slovak services while traveling.

Here are my basic requirements:

vCPU: 1 Core is plenty
RAM: 512MB - 1GB
Storage: 10GB+ (SSD/NVMe preferred)
Bandwidth: 500GB+ @ 100Mbps+
OS: Ubuntu 24.04 or Debian 12

Virtualization: KVM preferred /WireGuard/TUN/TAP is enabled out of the box

Location: Slovakia ( Bratislava or similar, must have SK GeoIP)

Budget: Looking for something around 5-10€/month

Fairly exotic location, I only know @Hosteroid who has got servers in SK.

You'll not find much there, it's quite an exotic loc. But if you want alternatives, sure:

I've used them for a while but stopped as I needed to reduce my idlers. Their geo can vary a bit. But last time they did change the subnet for me at no cost.

@Hosteroid is still my solid choice. No bs host that just works.

If it’s just to access some stuff while travelling why not just set up a WG server or tailscale exit node at home?

I don't have a public IPv4. My ISP wants 20€/month for it.

We're in Eygelshoven, NL - not physically SK, but we can set GeoIP per individual IP. So the IP itself geolocates to Slovakia in MaxMind, IPinfo etc. - which is what actually matters for accessing SK geo-restricted services. Latency from NL to Bratislava is around 25-30ms, fine for WireGuard.
