Remote VM gived from discord friends no longer works - Any alternatives?
I have an remote VM gived from Discord Friends (Specs are: Intel Core i7-13620h 8 vCores, 16GB RAM, 500GB SSD). but it now no longer works and fails to connect anymore because of following reasons and that discord friends are way too busy:
it needs to shutdown in order to apply security patch to avoid exploiting security vulnerabilities
Network usually crashes or outages randomly or even rarely power outages.
Internet access inside remote vm is broken or has issues.
Any alternatives for this (only for testing) that are matches this specs or better? I don't pay monthly on VPS or Dedicated Servers.

Do you pay yearly or more?
Long-term payments like Monthly and Yearly are way too expensive
so if monthly and yearly are too expensive, how do you pay? you cant be seriously asking this for free
Consider hourly or better yet seconds billing. GCP, AWS, Azure
Maybe @cloudblast could hook this guy up
you mean hourly? i don't think you can get a budget vps in high performance range for cheap even in hourly based
usually it's old EYPC ROME and old xeon and some up for new gen in 2019-2022
even if you found one , it will not be in a budget way
How is monthly long term?
But he is.
When you have ADHD scratching your nose is long term.
my brother in christ your 'discord vps' is someone's old laptop
Maybe those specs are just too expensive for you? What are you doing with this thing anyways when you are destroying it all the time or do you somehow keep paying the storage and just safe on the instance itself being destroyed?
Anyways check out Onidel, Hetzner, Cloudblast. They'll sell you hourly billed VPS.
I don't have an card to pay. only crypto. Crypto card doesn't even work well with GCP or Azure
Onidel has hourly billing but only on Premium VPS and not High-frequency VPS and also has expensive minimum deposit (10$). Hetzner needs an business email and something other complete information to prevent rejection of new account, Cloudblast only has slower CPUs and has an minimum of 10$ deposit (expensive minimum deposit)
i don't think azure is cheap, i used crypto card for hetzner and @CherryServers in dedicated and vps and i believe it will work in @onidel as well they have a performance vps in SG
"expensive" "16gb+ $10" ❓
Onidel (maybe cryptomus?) supports Hourly crypto but y'know monthly crypto isn't that bad or long actually.
If you are happy with a NAT. @backtogeek is interesting and if you want a dedicated server then @gigahost is interesting as well
Hope this helps.
You are very picky for someone who calls $10 expensive while looking for some kind of premium service. I guess there's a bunch of others too that'll do hourly (Vultr, DigitalOcean, Linode?) but if those also ask for something as crazy as $10 security deposit you'll probably have to bite the bullet in one way or another.
One point you forgot on your woe-is-me-list is the possibility of having to unlock your account limits before being able to deploy larger instances at Hetzner (they are postpaid after all and they don't like the risk of someone racking up a huge bill and not paying). You don't need any business email though. Just non-dodgy data, some solid proof on hand if there's a request for it and a halfway formal communication style.
Good luck.
lol what the fuck even is this
