Can happen, I once had Lieferando (It's like Uber Eats) set my order to be delivered at 8pm in the dashboard of the restaurant, but I selected 2pm and it was 2pm in my Lieferando app. It was a pain communicating that with the restaurant and it took a while, since they didn't know it should be done at 2pm.
I had a grocery delivery show up an hour late yesterday. I had to leave the house, and somehow my 13 year old decided to fall asleep 5 minutes before it arrived. I made orders from two places for dinner tonight (the girls wanted sushi, guys wanted chicken and fries) and both deliveries were earlier. It's the luck of the draw with food delivery.
