A couple of days ago I came across @AirnodeHosting's "-60%, recurring" offer starting at €1.99/mo. which doesn't look super-cheap at first, but considering you get 2 vCores, 2 GB mem., 30 GB NVMe, 10 TB traffic volume/mo + 2.5 Tb/s anti-DDOS it not only is in my "ideal zone" but actually looked very tasty - if, that is, it performs decently.
So, let's see what €2/mo get you ...

Wow, what a nice start! Really decent processor and memory performance, the usual flags + AVX2. Also both crypto tests pass my barrier for 'decent' (>= 1000 MB/s and >= 100 kp/s) which translates to "certainly good enough for a dynamic https server" - with only one caveat: a decently performing disk is needed, at least if you have a DB in the back-end (which nowadays I guess most dynamic sites do have).
So, let's see whether the disk keeps up or 'NVMe' - as quite often with cheap offers - turns out to be more of a "half-way fast SSD" ...

Europe - About or above 500 Mb/s to the major european targets and over 200 Mb/s minimum, even to Moscow. A very nice result set indeed, certainly for the low price.
Asia/Oceania - IN, Mumbai almost 90 Mb/s, SGP basically 70 Mb/s, that's no record but decent. What did surprise me though was the quite decent performance to multiple targets in mainland China. Really nice! Japan and Straya also in the normal to decent range.
Africa - Not great but certainly not bad either
Americas - Major cities on or near the East coast well above 100 Mb/s, really nice! Chicago as well, yay! And the west coast about 80 Mb/s is also respectable. But almost 50 Mb/s to south american cities (on both coasts) is the cherry on top!
Summary/verdict: WOW, just WOW! The best cheap promo since a long time, and all elements are at least really decent and none is disappointing. And that for basically €2/month with the rebate recurring. I'm almost a bit sad that I already have plenty VPS in NL, AMS because otherwise I'd purchase one more of those Airnode boxes, and a bigger one.
If this is not a one-off by Airnode quite a few providers with a NL, AMS location will have to think hard and create better offers ...
