Comments
Is there caching on the HDD for the storage plan?
Yes, we currently use ZFS with ARC/L2ARC and the equivalent of RAID10. Unfortunately, we cannot divulge too many details beyond that as the standard hypervisor configurations we use are bound to change as this lineup grows, and we do not want to guarantee that a virtual machine will be put on a specific setup. I'm sure that you'll be happy with the performance!
Yay, Advinservers, GLWS!
how much HDD bandwidth and IOPS i can use with bigggest (or even more) plan?
YABS please
https://docs.advinservers.com/policies/fair-use
I'd say the performance is great on storage plan (mine got 2x EPYC 7542 vGPUs), loading the spinning disk with some Linux ISOs rn.
fair enough
Is it possible to add HDD storage block to my current Kansas KVM?
are there no plans to add a frankfurt server?
Are you preparing any new products lately?
I've noticed that it has been out of stock for quite some time.
They are making significant architectural changes and moving WHMCS to legacy. In the meantime, you can order directly on the new and improved VPS panel @ https://vps.advinservers.com/order
What are you using to monitor this ?
Love the new panel.
Advin's built-in VPS panel.
When are there promotions and stock availability in Malaysia?
Any Storage vps under 1TB Diskspace?
please read my Ticket #814282
The tax rate seems wrong?
The sales tax for Maryland should be 6%.
Where does this 3% come from?
Why Kansas 32tb vs la 2tb only ?
Sir this is an insult I'm reporting to the local police
Traffic costs vary by region.
Their KC location is run in NOCIX facility using NOCIX upstream. NOCIX has abundant fiber able to handle the traffic and since it's in the middle of the US, they don't have to worry about cross-ocean cable transit. Their LAX location is located in CoreSite LA2 using Datapacket/CDN77 upstream. LAX is a massive data hub that not only handles the mass amount of traffic for US West but also cross-ocean cable transit from Asia. Many entities have presence their so it is competitive and traffic is expensive. And with the upstream choice, just go ahead and look up Datapacket/CDN77 bandwidth pricing.
It's actually concerning because Advin charges $1/TB for extra bandwidth across the US, and I'm sure Datapacket must charge a little more than that, unless I'm mistaken and they have some deal worked out.
Why don't use similar nocix upstream for la then ?
they dont exist there????
How much for unmetered bandwidth?
If you want truly unmetered, you'll want to ask for "dedicated" or "guaranteed" bandwidth. But guaranteed 10 Gbps bandwidth is... expensive.
I mean why use premium upstream like CDN77
@advinservers https://metrics.advinservers.com/ times out btw.
So we asked by ticket, TIL there's a different tax rate.
