Rackoona Offline?

danielbrdanielbr Member

Is anyone else having issues with Rackoona?

I recently purchased a VPS, and I've already noticed my server going offline for no apparent reason, with no warning or notification at all. On top of that, support takes a long time to respond through their WhatsApp channel.

Is anyone else experiencing the same problem?

Can you help @Rackoona ?

Thank you!

    I was told they are reseating a CPU 2 hours ago. They won't answer the ETA

  • PCCanadaPCCanada Member

    I am still offline and no responses to my ETA inquiry. It's now been 4 hours. I am in us-illionis.

    I was not notified of this beforehand and this is the 2nd time in 5 days. Can't have my servers go down like this.

    @Rackoona - What is happening
    @danielbr - Are you down still?

  • danielbrdanielbr Member

    @PCCanada i'm with you, us-illinois, still offline.

    See at official homepage: https://lookingglass.rackoona.com/Failed to load network information

    @Rackoona please give any feedback.

    Our Iowa node had some motherboard-related issues, which needed immediate intervention. We expected 1-3 hours max downtime, and fixed it once everything was properly seated.

    We apologise for the inconvenience.

    @Rackoona - That is expected, but when we have stakeholders we have to answer to also, a status ticket or a status page with that information is needed rather than almost zero information.

    100% agreed, we will deploy a status page asap and some sort of compensation for the raised issue.

    Important enough to want it online.

    We couldn't reboot your VPS right now — the host is temporarily unreachable. Please try again in a few minutes. If the problem persists, contact support.

    Again and again...

    @Rackoona can you explain why everyday, every momment we have a issues?

  • PCCanadaPCCanada Member

    Same issue here

  • PCCanadaPCCanada Member

    Went down at 1:25am ET and back up at 9:45am ET. No mention, no response to support. Frustrating

    our iowa upstream made an issue with routing, we resolved it asap.

    I can appreciate issue. Communication is the concern. I still have 2 outstanding tickets that haven't been even acknowledged from June 9th and June 13th. No response on Whatsapp either. Trying to like your service but making it more difficult.

  • danielbrdanielbr Member

    I can't stand the interruptions on my VPS anymore.
    For me, unfortunately, it is time to give up.

    1. Poor quality service
    2. They don't respond to tickets
    3. The VPS goes down every day

    They should point out that the company offers VPS only for testing purposes or quick access, because after a certain point, it just 'goes down'.

    This is my current sentiment.
    So sorry, but is the true.

    can you please send your vm hostname in dm, we will offer you migration and plan upgrade to our utah location with no downtime.

  • Please be patient. This vendor's service is truly outstanding and extremely honest. I suggest you communicate more with him. I also encountered a problem, but it was perfectly resolved.

    They've been pretty stable for me in their India location (I've never tried Iowa). There has been occasional downtime but nothing enough to stand out as worse than most other LET hosts.

    The only issue I have is that you can only reply twice to a ticket, then it's locked until support replies. So if you correct your previous message... you're screwed if you have an update you have to post. Thankfully it's just a client-side block. ;)

    Oh, that and they were supposed to have rolled out IPv6 by now but haven't. @Rackoona IPv6 ETA?

  • PCCanadaPCCanada Member

    @Rackoona can I have a month credit to try again?

    I see the IP but no way to edit anything in the subnet, and I can't find the gateway. Where can I find that?

  • RackoonaRackoona Member, Patron Provider

    click network and you should see , gateway mentioned there.

    "Network" only seems to show a graph, and under "Server details" it shows IPv6 but not the gateway. However, I found out that the gateway is a link-local address, so I've gotten it configured now and it works!
