To be honest personally i'm not really bothered. After all the internet brought us self proclaimed fans of stuff like rotten or efukt (pretty sure rotten is long gone and my interest in checking up on efukt is very limited but they make good examples).
In comparison a bunch of random cartoon characters (even if they are strangely underage looking but legally 300 years old or whatever) hardly make it on the WTF-scale and are quite easy to overlook. It's a kind of weird hobby but that's it as far as i'm concerned.
