To the naysayers and keyboard warriors: congratulations — your whining gave me fuel. Keep the hate coming; it only sharpened my focus.
It’s open now for free users. Use it. If anything breaks (yes, that happens), inbox me. Plans updated, more work coming — sit tight and watch.

Also, thanks to those guys who emailed me, inboxed me, and silently supported me.

    Thanks!

    Amazing, phase 1 completed!

Its really hard to vibe code a website and pair it with Garage S3 to get some backyard level hosting facility.

You mentioning ihostart is funny. At least they're realistic.

Just stop talking and stop making a list of everything you're buying when you get up to $100mil in your account and show us something disruptive!

Claiming "hey get free S3 storage! we're starting disruption!" is dumb.

I can do that in 3 days with Garage S3 and a vibe coded infra.

Let's see how you handle several billions of requests daily once you beat GCP, AWS, Backblaze, etc. and Storj, Filecon, shiacoin etc when you add blockchain, and who knows when you'll add AI-backed disruptive compression (piedpiper ftw), you'll get some growing pains.

Save this prompt: "please give me 100 excuses and how sorry we are for losing all costumers' data"; you'll need it.

    @Skelter
HAHAH! You try with Garage S3, please.. FYI Garage S3 is only for the Private bucket, not public. Do it yourself, please... Until. Please gtfo.

    10M attacks! LOL! Losers.

You are dumber than i thought, it was irony to mention Garage S3 as its specifically designed and used for old backyard machines, but as you're dumb as a door, I'll explain that you absolutely can use Garage S3 with reverse proxy and new buckets and a key access for each. 100% feasible. Don't be that dumb.

You're the loser, because you think that by having a basic free upload S3 object storage , you completed a "phase 1", where's this going to be complete? Phase 921 in 50 years?

Calling everyone here "losers" makes it very clear, you're the one that needs to GTFO ASAP.

I keep my call, lets stake $5k against each other. If you're confident on your mission, you can win $5k easily, lets do it or gtfo.

Then they fucked up the name. That being said, it's common to have servers in the garage, not so much in the backyard. That's dumb anywhere that doesn't have sun 24/7/365.

They absolutely fucked up the name. Made a PR to change it to Backyard S3 , which sounds nicer. Also, its dumb to want the machines on Backyard S3 where its always sunny, better to have it raining 24/7/365 and waterproof the servers.

Well, when you are using S3 commercially, you face problems. If you use WP Offload Media or Cloud S3 Storage uploads an image, it expects the S3 provider to immediately make that file public and return a readable image URL. Because Garage kept the bucket private, WordPress failed to display the images, breaking your site layout.

When you upload 1GB+ leanght file with Garage it's fails.

You won't get and premium freatures in Garage S3

Your business requires features like compliance-grade Object Locking (WORM), strict data immutability for ransomware protection, or bucket lifecycle management (e.g., auto-delete files after 30 days) Garage FAILS.

    Processing speed. Hugh comparisone.

You have no practical idea. This is not a party project; people are actually using this in their business. I'm not stuck up on some SSD or SAN and built a service.. You can try it yourself.

dude, it was a joke, but you still insist on being wrong.

Why insist on it being private? You just setup a reverse proxy and have a domain serving content from s3.disruption.io, its now an S3 compatible endpoint, and your WP offload plugin will make the mappings between the objects and the media names.

1GB? lol, you're crazy. Of course it absolutely can handle that and much more.

Degradation of the service happens when a bucket hits 25 million objects, roughly.

It was a fucking joke, its called irony, like saying you're going to win an F1 race with a Tesla Model S....

Please spare both our times explaining how a Tesla wouldn't be able to, we know that ok?

    focus on disruption now.

Edit: btw , you're the Tesla trying to win the F1 race. You'll never make it.

You are just making wild guesses! Not the reality. If we have Garage, then why do we need a MINIO Commercial license? You think I didn't test before? I have like 20+ live websites with 15 years of experience in cloud computing. You really think I didn't check the groun reality?

Currently, I have 850+ clients, and 200+ are paid. soon it will be 1000 - 2000 massive users running their massive data sharing. With any non-commercial product breaks. Even with 500 clients, your Garage does not have a chance to stand up.

Server with 128GB RAM and NVME 4TB fails with Garage and Other repos! I used Openclaw to make huge data transfers and users under extreme pressure with AI user creation for the future. It breaks!

I newly wrote scripts and use commercial licensed applications to do the rebuilding. Phase 2 is in wait, that's only because of Airtel datacenters' bandwidth limits. Otherwise, nobody shares tickets on data leaks or broken applications.

You should do a project with Garage - by yourself. You will understand the reality. When the guesses and theory vs. reality! Always Reality wins.

    P.S. Not Tesla! it's Air F-15EX

    There's the rub

the website is enough to put off anybody with eyes

Perhaps the disrupter's site has some customers after all but most of those customers have no eyes because they are bots.

Perhaps most of those bots have been sent there by the disrupter himself in an effort to boost his customer base.
