Hey Lowendtalk users and subscribers!

Just wanted to get some insight on what users deal with the most for people that use DDoS Mitigation providers!

What are your biggest problems?

What are your biggest concerns?

What are details that you're looking for in a DDoS Mitigation Provider?

What are things you hate that DDoS Mitigation Providers do?

(I will add your problems into the poll and users can click on common problems)

Thank you for your responses, it would help greatly to understand users more!

You'd prefer BGP rather than GRE/FOU?

I would prefer XC. BGP session could be established over tunnels just fine though.

I see, that makes alot of sense.

What would be a fair pricing for XC? It would be great to know incase we do end up doing it in the future. (a LONG future haha)

Depends on datacenter policy, but you as provider aren't expected to charge cross-connection separately from your DDoS protected IP transit service, the only justified cost is setup fees, everything else goes to datacenter as some charge MRC and I don't like it either :(

What is a reasonable commit for XC?

    Hello Wdmg,

We are not affiliated with bytefend.

Andy, nobody's buying that. Your (now deleted) Linkedin shows you as the CEO of Gatewaysentry LLC. You also ran Bytefend and another one before it.

    Hello Wdmg,

We have no affiliation with Bytefend,

Firstly, we do not have any public facing social media other than X, which is already disclosed to LowEndTalk Administrators. Any other accounts made under our name and or our CEO's name is an impersonator.

Thank you for taking the time out of your day to make sure this community stays clean.

My biggest pet peeve with them is they're mostly (seemingly) ran by Discord kids with soiled pasts and whose core focus is gaming, as if they couldn't imagine a market outside of Discord kids DDoSing each other.

Other than that, I just want a clean site, clear pricing, non-exagerated claims and dashboard graphs.

Yes, if you check through the Linkedin pages, there is a clear mismatch and it looks like someone created that account in attempt to impersonate our CEO.

    -044a243b9
    -3741871b4

Those are the ending URI's stating two different accounts which looks like it was closed.

On top of that I looked at the company registration that was also claimed (Bytefend), the Registered name is "Daniel Mehl" in Canada, also I took a look at the post that someone linked and it states "Felix COO".

Again this will be my last time explaining what's going on, our CEO is an active duty service member and has been for many years, there is no time to play hip hop around laws sending DDoS attacks.

Our account was screened and we went through a process to get verified, we already clarified to the Administrators of LET what social media platforms we have and stated we DO NOT have a Linkedin page for any of our members.

Thank you for your care in this but we are a brand new service and don't want to be associated with a service that seemingly goes against what there service is made for.
