Looking for storage vps in Europe

Hi everyone,

I’m on the hunt for a budget storage VPS. My target is around 1TB of storage with a budget of under €5/month, and I’d like as much bandwidth as possible.

I know this price point is basically bottom-of-the-barrel, so I’m keeping my expectations extremely realistic. However, my biggest requirement is avoiding what we call a "Diamond Drive" — essentially, a mechanical storage node that is so massively oversold that the random I/O is completely crippled, and the IOWait goes through the roof the second you try to write anything.

I don't expect NVMe speeds , but I need something that won't completely freeze up or crash my torrent client if I'm doing some basic seeding.

Among the ultra-budget providers right now, who currently has the least crippled disk performance?

You can buy a 1 moth VPS, do your setup, if it does not work out, it is what it is.

What I can vouch for is that the stated max IOPS will be available for your service. Other then that it is really up to you what you publish and how.

PS: IF you do porn and weird stuff, well, we are not going to be friends for long.

Just read the TOS and AUP before jumping in a purchase, and please, do that with any Provider/Operator you choose so you don't have any surprises later down the road.

Well, 10G is a no go with us. I have my reasons, so if that is a deal breaker for you,

You cannot do a 10G LINK on a storage VPS that is limited to 125 MB/sec ( 1G ) as, well, math. - this would also be the reason for your initial comment on IO WAIT, as most services / all have limited read and write speed on the disks, so data at 10G inbound/out bound cannot get written/read by the OS ( ram cache will be exhauset quite fast, like seconds fast ) sooooooo, welll, IOWAIT.....

If you can live with 1G link speed wise , if not....

Just go with seedbox for this one. If you really want control of the system buy cheap Kimsufi dedicated server. Chek PusledMedia they have sale atm. 1 TB for 10 euros/year , but read always before you buy.

yes i did want to buy Kimsufi dedicated server, but they need installation fee and i don't want to buy a whole year for now.
