I need a free pony.
Don't be a mooch, go buy a 10 cent VPS from Tierhive.
Just get some IPv6 VPS like https://billing.deluxhost.net/cart.php?a=add&pid=427&carttpl=lagom2 I have no clue if the host is any good (its from an offer a couple thread down) but 5€/y shouldn't bankrupt you.
If you search around a bit the term "IPv6 VPS" might probably find you one that is even 1-2€ cheaper. Just make sure your ISP actually supports IPv6 or the host offers an IPv4 forward to your SSH port since otherwise you will have a very bad time connecting to your shiny new acquisition.
How much sense it makes to get a VPS that is only capable of IPv6 vs shelling out like 5 additional € per year to get something that also does IPv4 is obviously debatable.
If free is an absolute must you could also just download VirtualBox and run a local "VPS" or take some legacy hardware you have lying around and install [unixoid-OS-of-your-choice] to make it into a server.
If you are just looking to test and learn, maybe look at something like VirtualBox?
If you're not comfortable using a credit card, pre-paid card or cryptocurrency payment options are available.
Respectfully -- if you're not willing to share your card details, why would someone be willing to give you a VPS (with root access, presumably!) on their network? As others have said there are some very affordable options on the market...
Learn on your own machine.
i need @MikeA to give me 15000usd in account balance
or @MikePT
Congrats on your first post
In general, asking for a free VPS in your first post on a hosting forum isn't likely to entice providers (or anyone, really) to offer you a free VPS
Hey so i been trying to create a account here for a few months its always been ignored im asking for vps just for test like for 30 days thats it 7 days is also alr just wanna learn how it works ty
Buy a cheap annual VPS and then you'll have a whole year to learn
We offer free VPS for the first hour.
There's actually a handful of free vps deals here but they all require some amount of forum participation at a minimum, not sure you'd qualify for any of them yet. Look around and join some conversations.
There are lucky draws on the nodeseek, nodeloc, and linuxdo forums (although registering an account for these forums is not so easy now). By participating in these activities, you may receive a VPS that can be used for one month (or even longer, but all this be low config nat vps). I haven't seen this kind of activity on this forum. I think the most realistic and best suggestion is to install VirtualBox on your own machine, and practice whatever OS you want. You can play for as long as you want without asking anyone. and may with high configution, It's great.
You could have at least offered $1 a month. WTF DUDE !
$1 is plenty. A 1c/512M/5G VPS on Tierhive is 40 cents a month. OP is just being a cheapskate.
No
Best I can do is give you a comment
Here you go https://freevps.org/ but has long term requirements before you can apply for one
Install virtualbox and run your own.
So is this alt account or ban evasion?
also , @backtogeek offer $0.25 free credit. that's roughly 2.5 months
No this is my one and only account
No
How what works?
This is why you’re only my second favorite Mike
@Kakarotvx
Shoot me a PM!
Tell me about your project and what you intend to do! I'm sure if the justification is good my CEO would surly allow a free instance!
